Soul Satisfaction

Do you ever feel lonely? You may be surrounded by family and friends. Your relationships may even be healthy and happy, but you still feel like there’s a part of you that no one really knows or understands. You can’t put your finger on it, but you know that something in your life is missing. You may have scolded yourself because time and time again you’ve read Philippians 4:11-13, and listened to Paul tell you to be content in all circumstances...And you’ve really, really tried.

Have you ever considered that it may not be a “contentment” problem at all? It just may be a “satisfaction” issue! Ask yourself this question today. “Could it possibly be that I’m feeling lonely and dissatisfied because I have a dry and thirsty soul?” That’s right! Your soul has a deep and desperate longing to not just know about God, but to intimately know Him.

You were created for relationship with God, and nothing else, not your husband, children, job, appearance, bank account, Facebook, food, sports, the internet --that’s right-- nothing else will ever be able to satisfy your dry and thirsty soul except a deep and abiding relationship with your loving heavenly Father. I pray that you will daily pursue the richness of His tender and powerful love, and that your soul will be absolutely saturated and satisfied by His presence!!

Psalm 90:14    “Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”

Living in His grace!
Mary
