You're Not Just a Snapshot...

She's always so bubbly!      She's always so serious.
She's so together.                Boy is she a mess!
She's a good leader.            Man, she's one disorganized
                                            woman!

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to describe people in brief phrases?  We usually see just a snapshot of someone's life and that snapshot can become their 'forever-label'.
The descriptions above could easily all be of the same woman!

At times we're seen at our best, and other times...at our worst.  We're not one dimensional.  God created us to be incomparably complex women with incredibly complex stories.

So, the next time we find ourselves intimidated or irritated by that 'overly' amazing all-together woman at work or church, just remember, there are probably times when she's a real mess.  Or, when we get that waitress who hasn't smiled at us once the entire meal, just remember, she may be a very nice woman who, like the rest of us, has an incomparable, incredibly complex story.
Let's strive to appreciate the whole woman and not define her
by that snapshot...perhaps taken at just the wrong moment!

We've each been fearfully and wonderfully made!

"You knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:13-15
Love and blessings,
Mary
