The prophet Isaiah was inspired by God to write beautiful hope-filled
words that pointed to the coming of Christ our Savior.

to break the power of sin and death.

REJOICE! You have
not been left in the deep darkness... singed with sin,
pain, misery, despair, and hopelessness. He has replaced condemnation with
pain, misery, despair, and hopelessness. He has replaced condemnation with
Grace, Forgiveness, Mercy, Redemption, Salvation!
You are not alone...
I'm sure this will be a busy week as you juggle family, work-in and out of the home, Christmas programs and commitments, the busyness of baking, laundry, meals, shopping, gift wrapping... I'm sure you can add and add and add to the list. My hope is that in the midst of every errand run, every 'chore', every conversation, every correction given to your children...
You will embrace His strength, His hand of healing, His peace, His presence.
You are not alone...
If you're thankful that you haven't been left in the
deep darkness of sin and despair, I invite you to leave a comment!

When God gets us absolutely alone, away and unconcerned with our own ideas, busy agendas, and cares, that’s when He begins to refine and shape us. There is no substitute for time spent alone with God where you can tell Him anything and everything. His presence is all we need in order to maintain the proper balance our busy lives require! :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love for a spirit-filled week!
Denise
Denise, the reality that the One who came to break the power of sin and death is the One that is with us throughout our days and longs to spend time with us... blows me away.

I love not only those scriptures, but also the way you shaped them. Even when we feel alone, we have a great foundation of support underneath us that swells into all we will ever need. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLisa, I love the prophetic words of Isaiah that point to the entrance of our Savior, our foundation... So that we will never be alone again!

Really like your post, second one I have read today about "not being alone". It's probalby the most comforting thought that He will never leave us. There is no place on earth where He does not go with us and I have been to some pretty rugged places in my lifetime. I like Christmas but I do not like how it is made glamorous by the merchants and worldly advertisement. The stable smelled, the hay was course, the light was dim, not the best accomdations for a King to arrive in. But seems He always chose the rough things of this life to bring home truth...heaven is not here. Heaven lives in our hearts. Someday faith will take sight when we bow before Him. See how your reminder brought fourth a string of comments. Thanks for the encouaging thoughts. Blessings
ReplyDeleteBetty, you're absolutely right, one of the most comforting thoughts is knowing that He is with us...never to leave us. It's easy to allow the 'trappings' of the season to distract us from the truths of the God. I'm so thankful that He came to pierce the deep darkness allowing us to be redeemed! Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment. I look forward to getting to know you!

How thankful I am for this - that at the bottom of the deepest pit, in the loneliest wilderness, in the darkest night...He is there, beating within my own heart. "I will never leave you nor forsake you." How I have leaned on that. Thanks for the reminder today. (Hopping over from Titus2)
ReplyDeleteGenevieve, you've said it so beautifully. Spoken like a sister whose experienced loneliness and heartache...I'm so thankful that he's there in the very midst.
DeleteI'm so glad you hopped over today!
Blessings to you ~ Mary
